A night at the pond

I spent last night at the pond. From the softness of the sunset light to the dawn of a new day the bubbling noises of the pond were deeply calming. I remembered blessings by John O'Donohue.

"May evening find you gracious and fulfilled.

May you go into the night blessed,

sheltered and protected

May your soul calm, console and renew you.

May dawn find you awake and alert,

approaching your new day

with dreams, possibilities and promises."

Peace, Harmony and Stillness

This morning I met Claudia. 

Everywhere in Phakalane one can see manifestations of her creative love. 

A little later I encountered a mantis, the symbol of peace, harmony and stillness.

Even when our bodies and our surroundings are in turmoil we can remember that in the loving vibrations of the cosmos nothing is ever lost.

All will balance.

After the devastation of the drought the first rain brings new life.

Nature is heralding new beginnings all the time.

And there will be fruits of love.

In Between

I visited Phakalane one week before Equinox. One can feel Autumn already. The moment of stillness when a pendulum changes direction is close.

Here in South Africa Autumn is a strange mix of dying and coming alive. That what retracted from the heat, comes alive again with the cooler nights and the first drops of rain.

And that what flourishes and expands in the light changes color and comes to rest.

There is a maze of possibilities. Our perception can only grasp a blurred reflection of the happenings.

Nourishment

Conception

Harvest

Fruit

Clarity

Growth

Joy

The unknown

All is there in a balance of day and night being equal. Not Summer anymore and not yet Winter.

Patterns and archetypes

At the beginning of my last visit I met a big frog sending a very appropriate message.

This animal is generally associated with the water element and its cleansing attributes.
The frog is symbolic of:

Cleansing

Renewal, rebirth

Fertility, abundance

Transformation, metamorphosis

Life mysteries and ancient wisdom

The harsh light of mid day makes the cosmic patterns visible.
